MANILA, Philippines — The Team Tabuk Magasang of Atty. Henry Tuban and Engr. Gerry Borcelo, with a perfect score of six points, bested 39 entries in the first derby of the first leg of the Sta. Monica Stag Circuit last Saturday.
Three entries of Tady Palma, Jun Musni and Hector Magpantay came in as close runners-up with five victories and one defeat each in the event witnessed by a thousand of cockfight aficionados.
The inaugural derby of the two-leg 13-derby circuit featured 117 fights.
Entries of Engr. Efren Canlas, Val Lopez, Jong Daed, Arnold Borromeo, Atty. Gildo Capuchino and Rico Arbiter posted four points with four victories and two defeats.
The next derby is on Aug. 31 with another expected full-packed crowd.
