2 p.m. – F2 Logistics vs Generika-Ayala

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American sensation Kalei Mau makes her keenly awaited debut with the rejigged F2 Logistics versus Generika-Ayala today in the opener of the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

With the 6-foot-2 Mau on board, the Cargo Movers are heavily favored in their 2 p.m. tussle with the Lifesavers right after the opening ceremonies at 12:30 p.m.

Newcomer Marinerang Pilipina and Sta. Lucia clash in the other match at 4 p.m.

Eager to bolster its bid for a first All-Pinoy title since 2016, F2 acquired the services of spitfire scorer Mau following the sudden disbandment of United VC.

With a wealth of experience following her stints in Puerto Rico and France, the University of Arizona stalwart is a big addition to an already potent Cargo Movers core comprised of skipper Aby Maraño, Ara Galang, Kim Fajardo, Kianna Dy and Dawn Macandili as assured by team manager Hollie Reyes.

“We all know the kind of player Kalei is,” Reyes said. “She is a very good player who can contribute on both ends. I can say that we’re very fortunate to have her on our team and we’re looking forward to win with her.”

But the Cargo Movers’ mission of giving Mau a winning welcome would not be easy especially with a souped-up Generika-Ayala standing on their way.
