BanKo-Perlas upends Navy

MANILA, Philippines — BanKo-Perlas regained its winning touch as it held off Iriga-Navy, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19, to wrest the solo second spot at the start of the second round of the PVL Open Conference at the Filoil Flying V Center yesterday.

The Spikers recovered lost ground, checking a two-game slide to  improve to 6-2 behind league-leading Creamline (6-1).

The Lady Oragons, looking for their second straight win, reeled to their seventh loss overall after notching their first victory against cellar-dwelling Adamson-Akari.

“We were relieved (to get the win) because we are coming off a two-game slide,” said BanKo-Perlas coach Dong dela Cruz.
