BaliPure eyes lead share vs Perlas

MANILA, Philippines — BaliPure-National University shoots for a share of the early lead as it battles skidding BanKo-Perlas while Iriga-Navy and defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force try to rebound from setbacks as the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference returns to the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan today.

Janisa Johnson normed 29 points in the Water Defenders’ back-to-back wins from a first game loss without her with the power-hitting American reinforcement tipped to lead the team as the Water Defenders seek to join the idle PayMaya High Flyers and Creamline Cool Smashers on top in their 4 p.m. clash with the Perlas Spikers.

BanKo-Perlas, meanwhile, is out to check a three-game slide in the season-opening conference of the league organized by Sports Vision behind Thai Jutarat Montripila, American Lakia Bright and local stars Suzanne Roces, Amy Ahomiro, Joy Dacoron and Fenela Emnas.
