MANILA, Philippines — The PBA board on Thursday has filed a resolution saying it will not support the extension of Chito Narvasa's term as league commissioner.
Narvasa came under fire after approving a trade involving Kia's top pick in the rookie draft.
Officials, however, said the deal was not the issue, instead citing a "loss of confidence" in Narvasa as the reason behind the non-renewal of his contract.
Fans were quick to "celebrate" the development on social media.
