MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao is making sure he has a quick chance at getting back at Jeff Horn in the event the Australian shocks the world and defeats him in their July 2 tussle in Brisbane.

Pacquiao, who will defend his WBO welterweight championship against Horn at the Suncorp Stadium, wanted a rematch clause in case he loses to the 29-year-old Australian.

And the Filipino icon will get his wish.

“It’s an immediate rematch clause,” Horn’s promoter, Dean Lonergan, said in a Courier-Mail report by Grantlee Kieza.

Pacquiao obviously isn’t taking Horn lightly, even though the fighting senator’s camp previously said they plan to quickly dispose of the challenger and move on.

But the 38-year-old Pacquiao isn’t getting any younger, and in his past few fights, he had been more vulnerable than he’s ever been.

This developed as Pacquiao made a low-key entry to Australia Monday, touching down at Brisbane airport for a promotional tour for their July 2 bout at Lang Park and speaking briefly to reporters before being whisked away by handlers.

“I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a fighter,” Pacquiao told local media.

“I haven’t watched his fights yet, but I’m going to get his last three fights and watch it. My message for him is to work hard, and make sure you’re 100 percent,” he said. – Dino Maragay Philstar.com
