MANILA, Philippines — Rain or Shine's Maverick Ahinmisi breezed his way to become the Obstacle Challenge's new top gun in the PBA All-Star weekend festivities at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

Drafted third overall by the Elasto Painters in the 2015 PBA Draft, Ahinmisi clocked 32.9 seconds to pocket a P30,000 prize money — along with the bragging rights.

He edged San Miguel's Bryan Heruela in the first round that featured a one-on-one format.

Last year's champ, Jeric Fortuna of the GlobalPort Batang Pier, bowed out early after falling to Blackwater Elite's Carlo Lastimosa.

The Filipino-Nigerian Ahinmisi was joined by Ginebra's Scottie Thompson, Mahindra's Paolo Taha and Star's Marc Barroca, Phoenix's Mark Cruz and Lastimosa in the final round that employed the traditional individual showcase.

The course featured a layup followed by a slalom of cones. Overhead, chest and bounce pass challenges were also included route. It culminates in a 3-point shot and a layup attempt at the other end of the court.
