CSG nat’l shootfest set June

MANILA, Philippines - More than 300 participants all over the country will compete in the first Civil Security Group (CSG) Director’s Cup National Shooting Competition Level II on June 11-12 at the ARMSCOR Firing Range in Marikina.

The inaugural practical shooting competition organized by the Magnus Sports Club is inviting all shooting individuals, gun club members, PNP/AFP personnel and private security personnel, among others, to join the competition that will enhance their shooting skills.

“We are expecting the best shooters to compete in this prestigious shooting event after the last day of gun ban on June 10,” said event coordinator Jose Ortalla Jr.

“The participants will undergo an effective safety measure during the competition.”

The competition is sponsored by PSSLAI, Aboitiz, Alsons, ARMSCOR, Sta Elena Properties Inc. and stakeholders of Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) and Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agency (SOSIA).

The shootfest, sanctioned by the Philippine Shooters and Match Officers Confederation Inc. (PSMOC), will have the following stages on handgun and mini-rifle event: spinning balls, the pirate, the storage plant, the warehouse, raid on Sosia lobby, abandoned building, guard inspection and in search for the target.

The Level I PSA handgun and shotgun match event will have the following stages: parking lot encounter, mall robbery and hotel lobby hold up.
