MANILA, Philippines – Another Philippine Maverick pocketed the top honors in Russia earlier today.

Treat Huey and Henri Kontinen breezed past Julian Knowle and Alexander Peya to triumph in the St. Petersburg Open men's doubles finals.

"Always a lot of fun taking a title," Huey said through his Twitter account.

"It's never easy with a new partner, but from the first match I felt like we matched up well on the court," Kontinen said in a report by ATPWorldTour.com.

The Huey-Kontinen duo were pencilled as top seeds in the tournament; their foes where the second seeds.

The victory brought Huey his fifth ATP World Tour title and second of the season, according to the same report.

Huey will see action with a star-laden roster in the International Premier Tennis League this December. He joins World No. 1 Serena Williams,  World No. 11 Richard Gasquet and fellow St. Petersburg Open champion (singles) Milos Raonic who is also the World's No. 9.
