Ravena accepts 'middle-finger' girl's apology

MANILA, Philippines – After Kiefer Ravena of Ateneo de Manila University exploded for a career-high 38 points on Sunday in the UAAP, the social media world also erupted.

It is not just because of his empathic performance, but microblogging site Twitter and Facebook were rocked after a fan's photo with Ravena drew criticisms.

A girl wearing a De La Salle University jacket was seen flashing a “middle finger” sign while posing for  a photo  with the Ateneo star, earning negative comments from the fans.

It was not clear if the fan girl in the photo was really from La Salle, but the ever-humble Ravena quickly asked his fans via Twitter to stop bullying as he accepted her apology.

Ravena showed his prowess Sunday against University of the East in an overtime game, draining clutch baskets to help Ateneo claim the top spot after the first round of the eliminations with a 6-1 card.
