Lehnert launches ITF campaign in Michigan

Katharina Lehnert serves during the Southeast Asian tennis tourney held in Bangkok last November when she won bronze in the women’s singles and silver in the mixed doubles match with fellow Cebuana Lhuillier Sports Ambassador Treat Huey.

MANILA, Philippines - Up-and-coming tennis star and Cebuana Lhuillier Sports Ambassadress Katharina Lehnert will begin her campaign to improve her world ranking when she competes in the ITF Women’s $100,000 USA in Michigan from Feb. 10-16.

“I was happy when Katharina decided to play for the Philippines, bringing her extensive professional experience to our shores. She serves as an inspiration to young tennis players in the country to achieve more and aim to play in the professional leagues,” said Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier. Lhuillier is also the current chairman of the board of the Philippine Tennis Association.

The 20-year-old beauty from Germany started playing tennis at seven, first joining the ITF Juniors league, then crossing over the professional leagues at age 16.
