Three courses host Asian Senior Golf friendly

MANILA, Philippines - More than 300 players from five Asian nations, including the Philippines, are  competing in the 31st Asian Senior Golf Association (ASGA) Friendly Matches 2014 in three separate golf courses in March.

The Palmer of Orchard Golf and Country Club, the Legends of Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club and Nicklaus of Sherwood Hills Golf Club host the three-day tournament from March 3- 6.

ASGA president Pablo Soon said participants would come from Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia and Japan.  The Filipino seniors are most welcome to join in the event where 16 individual and team titles will be disputed.

“It is our humble way of helping in promoting golf and tourism,” said Soon of the event sponsored by Stradcom Corp., One Document, Lares Inc. and Profood International.

On March 2, three representatives of each nation, plus the organizing committee chairmen and team captains will have one last briefing at the Acacia Hotel Manila.
