MANILA, Philippines - The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines will stage the first JGFP Boys vs Girls Christmas Classic presented by Emcor and KSevrico on Monday, Dec. 23 at the north course of the Valley Golf and Country Club. Tee-off starts right after the 6:30 a.m. registration.
The 18-hole tourney caps another busy year for local junior players that saw the JGFP stage no less than 60 tournaments all throughout the country with the major backing of the International Container Terminal Services, Inc.
It will be purely a gender battle with the side submitting the most points for the best 10 players winning the competition supported by the Valley Golf and Country Club .
Players in the boys 15-17 years and 13-14 years age-group will tee off from the blue tees, the girls 15-17, girls 13-14 and boys 11-12 from the white tees, the girls 11-12, boys 9-10 and girls 9-10 from the red tees. Those in the boys and girls 8 and below category will tee off from the forward tees.
Leading the boys are circuit standouts Christopher Popp, Carl Corpus, Jolo Magcalayo and Josh Jorge while the girls challenge will be bannered by Annika Cedo, Daniella Uy, Sam Bruce and Sophia Blanco.
