TRS Kids finish strong in karting series

MANILA, Philippines - Flynn Jackes dominated the Mini-ROK division as he led the TRS Racing Kids’ romp in the second leg of the Coca Cola Karting Super Series at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Batangas recently.

Jackes also topped the Formula Cadet Expert class while the other fancied Tuason Racing School also turned in two runner-up finishes, one third and fourth place efforts.

Jackes’ twinkill also boosted his bid for a rare feat – the first karter to clinch two perpetual trophies as Cadet Karter of the Year and Mini-ROK Karter of the Year in a single season.

Arthur “AT” Tuason held his own in combined race with the expert karters, finishing second in the Formula SL Novice division.

Julia de los Angeles also placed second in the Formula Cadet Novice with Jarred Kim finishing fourth. William Casequin took third place in the Mini-ROK class.

The TRS Racing Kids, powered by BMW, Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, Coke Zero, PUMA, OMP, C!Magazine, Aguila Auto Glass, Acer, Oakley,Toptul,  Bellevue, Karate Kid and Go Pro, actually had a tough time in a challenging day with Jackes forced out of the race after hitting the grassy area following a contact with Eduardo Coseteng in the pre-finals of the Formula Cadet race.

“One good lesson they learned is, racing is not all about winning and what’s more important is the hardwork and dedication to rise from each fall and fight again.  Sometimes you have to lose to develop such hunger for victory that will squeeze out the best in you,” said TRS founder and president JP Tuason.
