MANILA, Philippines - Bienvinido C. Cortez, father-in-law of The Philippine Star sportswriter Dante Navarro, passed away yesterday due to lingering illness. He was 69.
He is survived by wife Conchita and children Joanne and Boyet, Jeanne and Dante, Jenna and Sandro, Gilbert, Jennifer and BJ, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His remains lie in state at the Holy Trinity Memorial Chapels along Dr. A. Santos Ave. Paranaque City.
Interment will be announced later.
