MANILA, Philippines - AboitizPower, producer of Cleanergy, its brand for clean and renewable energy, is supporting the second leg of the 2011 Bike King Cycling Classics.
Dubbed “Tour of Subic,” the race will be held on July 1-3 at the Subic Bay Freeport.
“Tour of Subic” features amateur male and female cyclists, aged at least 18 years old. The competition is divided into three stages: Day 1 – Stage 1 is a 40-kilometer individual time trial; Day 2 – Stage 2 an 80 km road race; and Day 3 – Stage 3 a 50 km criterium race.
The competition will use Mylaps Pro Chip, a state-of-the-art timing system used by organizations and competitors in various active sports.
AboitizPower partners with Bike King, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) for this cycling event. AboitizPower believes that cycling is an eco-friendly sport and that it helps in keeping the air clean and reducing pollution.
“Tour of Subic” is also supported by Unilab Active Health, Pocari Sweat, Timex, Explore Bohol, Crystal Clear Water, Orbea Bicycles, Corima Racing Wheels, Knog and Polar Insulated Bottles.
The third leg of the competition will be held in the third District of Bohol Sept. 24-25, while the culminating event is the Bike United Tour of Matabungkay slated Oct. 21-23.
