NBA All-Star live on Studio 23

MANILA, Philippines - Studio 23 airs the much-awaited 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend live via satellite today with same day primetime replays beginning tonight.

NBA fans will now get to see the action as it happens on Philippine free TV after Solar TV recently gave ABS-CBN the free TV exclusive broadcast rights of the world’s most popular basketball league.

The Rookies-Sophomores clash will be shown from 10 a.m. to 12 noon today with the replay set at 10 tonight.

The NBA Slam Dunk Contest will be shown tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with replay at 11 p.m. Also on tap are the Skills Challenge, the Three-point Shootout and the Shooting Stars.

The centerpiece NBA All-Star game will be aired on Monday starting at 9 a.m. with replay at 9:30 p.m.

ABS-CBN’s TJ Manotoc and Boom Gonzales will cover the All-Star game in Los Angeles, California and other activities during the weekend.

After the All-Star events, Studio 23 will air regular season games live every Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning with a same day primetime replay at 9:30 p.m.

NBA Playoffs, on the other hand, will be telecast on ABS-CBN Channel 2 with primetime replays to be aired on Studio 23.
