MANILA, Philippines - St. Francis of Assisi College swept the seniors division finals and Philippine College of Criminology dominated the juniors side to emerge champions at the close of the third UCLAA basketball tournament at the San Andres gym last Monday.
Levi Hernandez scored 23 points, Raymund Ilagan added 19 and Jason Melano tossed in 18 as St. Francis broke away from a tight first quarter in Game Two en route to a 95-71 rout of PCCr.
The PCCr juniors team, meanwhile, salvaged some pride for the school as it trounced University of the East, 81-65, as Teresito Valera unloaded 21 points, Angelo Alano added 21 and Ian Alano 19.
SFAC took the seniors opener last Friday, 62-56, while PCCR edged the UE Pages in Game One, 73-71.
Kings Montessori routed St. Dominic Savio, 104-89, to take third place in the high school category.
