MANILA, Philippines - Jake Mendoza won the overall championship in the recently concluded 10th Domingo M. Guevara Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.
Dean Yao ruled the men’s division’s group one followed by Michael Go and Sherwin Yu while Mark Laurel topped group two with Mario Ojeda coming in first runner-up and Frederick Chan second, respectively.
Carlos Farrales grabbed the group three championship trophy. Bernard Go and Rey Guevara took the first and second runner-up honors.
In the ladies’ division, Marge Tan emerged champion with Vicky Farrales as first runner- up and Katrina Gonzalez second.
Jun Fojas ruled the guests category. Vic Chuidian ended up second and Rene Unson finished third.
There were no hole-in-one winners of the staked three brand-new cars donated by Toyota Pasong Tamo, Kia Motors and CATS Inc.
Other prizes included two P100,000 cash prizes each donated by Guevent Insurance Broker Co. and Empire Insurance Corp., P50,000 cash prize donated by Alex Prieto and a brand-new Ping Eye golf set from UCPB Insurance.
Guevent Industrial Development Corp., Kong Wheels, G&S Transport, Honeycomb Builders, Marie France, Svenson Facial Care, The Plaza, Radiowealth Finance, Dusit Hotel, Holland Blooms, Stradcom, Rebisco Biscuit, Ben’s Burger and Central Printing Services also sponsored the annual event.
