Cañete gains billiards final

Laurence Cañete of Bgy. 701 defeated Paul Sarzosa of Bgy. 704, 9-8, last Saturday to reach the final round of the Billiard Classic 2000 at Jimmy’s in Malate, Manila.
Joining Cañete in the final round are teammates Jess Caranto, Rolando Dulay and Romeo Chian. Action resumes Nov. 30 starting at 11 a.m.
The event, dubbed "From the Barangays to World Champions," is organized and promoted by Gensco, Inc.
