Jed, may patikim na bagong tunog

May isang feel-good summer jam na hatid si Jed Madela kasama sina DJ M.O.D. at Darren & Cashwell sa kanyang bagong single na Just For You.

Sa bagong pop track na swak isama sa driving o dance playlists, ibinida ni Jed ang kilig na dala ng umuusbong na pag-ibig.

Ang latest Star Music release ay mula sa komposisyon at produksyon nina Darren & Cashwell at DJ M.O.D. na naniniwalang si Jed ang karapat-dapat magbigay-buhay sa kanta.

“I immediately knew that Jed would be the perfect fit for this record,” saad ni DJ M.O.D. “To be honest, it was a long overdue collaboration. Ang tagal na namin gusto ni Jed gumawa ng song together, and finally we have one! Jed is super professional with his craft and his approach and appreciation for music is second to none,”

Ayon naman kay Jed, nagustuhan niya agad ang awitin dahil naiiba ito sa nakasanayan niyang tunog.

“I’ve been talking to DJ M.O.D. for the longest time to come up with a song that is far from what I usually do. The first time I heard ‘Just For You,’ I immediately liked it because first, it was nothing close to what I usually do. Second, it sounded really happy and brought good vibes. Third, I became excited to see if my voice could work with that kind of sound,” dagdag pa ni Jed.

Kwento pa niya, interesado siyang i-explore ang mas upbeat at pop na tunog para sa kanyang upcoming music.

“I’ve been in the business for more than 20 years now and somehow, I have recorded and tried out singing different kinds of songs in different styles. It’s a continuous process. You go with the times. You evolve in order to stay relevant but still keeping your real essence as an artist. But definitely, I will be exploring more of this sound,” saad niya.

Bukod sa kanyang sold-out concerts sa Pilipinas at sa iba’t ibang bansa, kinilala rin si Jed bilang kauna-unahang Pilipino na nanalo sa World Championships of Performing Arts.

Sa kasalukuyan, isa siya sa performers ng ABS-CBN Sunday noontime show na ASAP Natin ‘To at regular judge sa singing competition na  Tawag ng Tanghalan.
