Kahit nasa abroad: Sarah itinuloy nang kasuhan ng grave coercion ang taga-GMA at ICONS

MANILA, Philippines - Kinasuhan na ng grave coercion ng kampo ng aktres na si Sarah Lahbati sa Quezon City Prosecutors Office ang isang executive ng GMA Network, Inc. at limang iba pa kaugnay ng umano’y pagpuwersa sa aktres na pumirma sa isang co-management contract na may ibang talent management kahit na siya ay may exclusive contract sa talent center ng GMA.

Kasama sa charge sheet si GMA director Anna Teresa Gozon-Abrogar na siya ring consultant sa opisina ng kanyang tatay na si Atty. Felipe Gozon, GMA chairman at chief executive Officer; Michael Uycoco, handler ni Lahbati; at Arsenio Baltazar, head ng Talent Development and Management Department (TDMD) ng network.

Kasama sa kinasuhan sina Andrew Dee, Shiela Buendia, at Alberto Muñoz, pawang taga-Icons Celebrity Marketing (ICONS).

Ang kaso ay isinampa ng abogado ni Lahbati na si Atty. Marie Glen Abraham para sa aktres na kasalukuyang nakabakasyon ngayon pero bago umalis sa bansa noong isang linggo ay personal na siyang nanumpa ng kanyang complaint-affidavit kay Assistant City Prosecutor Ramoncito Ocampo.

“That for the acts of the respondents in compelling me to sign in the co-management contract with ICONS which is not only against my will but against my existing contract with GMA Network, Inc., through the means of threat and intimidation, I am charging them for the crime of grave coercion,” bahagi ng complaint-affidavit ni Lahbati.
