MANILA, Philippines — Sparkle's young stars take the spotlight in GMA's upcoming youth-oriented series "You're My Favorite Song."

"Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" Big Winner Caprice Cayetano and Heath Jornales, whom fans playfully ship as “CapEath,” are set to take center stage, joined by Marco Masa and Clifford, who joined them in the 2025 reality show.

But, their castmates are ready to showcase their acting chops too.

The Girls

Princess Aliyah, who plays Adie, said that she did not find it difficult to go into the shoes of her role in the show, having been part of other series through the years, such as "Royal Blood" in 2023.

"'Di naman po ako masyadong nag-struggle to play my character kasi nga po, as I've said, I've done a lot of shows before and marami na din akong roles na nagawa so it wasn't hard for me to create my character," Princess told the press at the intimate interview held in GMA-7 on June 17.

Waynona Collings, who has likewise been cast in previous shows, takes on a challenge with her character, "Charm," whom she describes as a mean girl.

"I think this show, 'You're My Favorite Song,' is something very different for me right now, kasi 'yung character ko is kind of far away from me and from the characters I've loved before [...]," she said.

Waynona added that her inspiration for her character is the screen's original "mean girl," Regina George, portrayed by Rachel McAdams in the 2004 film "Mean Girls."

Both Princess and Waynona were housemates with Caprice and Heath in "PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0."

The Boys

P-pop group Cloud7 member Kairo Lazarte and Andrei Fajardo will play "Poncy" and "Dash," respectively, whom they described as the "bullies" of the show.

"Actually right now it's a dream come true na po eh, kasi sila rin po talaga 'yong mga gusto makasama, especially in my first acting series," Kairo said.

"In real life po kasi, tahimik lang ako, tapos 'yong character ko po ay very rowdy and noisy, so it was a challenge, pero sobrang saya," Fajardo added.

Lee Victor, who plays Raviel, said that it was also his dream to be part of a youth-oriented show, and said that his character will be close with Calix, played by Clifford. Lee and Clifford also appeared as housemates in "PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0."

“Prayer answered, [...] - actually if you go back sa mga interview ko I’ve been vocal na gusto kong makasama sa youth-oriented show,” he said.

Meanwhile, Geo Mhanna, who plays Jacob, said that his character is quite close to him as they bear similarities with each other.

"My character is not far from who I am as a person so for me it was very easy," he said.

"You're My Favorite Song" premieres June 22 in GMA's Afternoon Prime.
