Pagyao ni ‘Mang Jun’ ikinalungkot ng mga taga-Barangay Ginebra
MANILA, Philippines — Bumuhos ang pakikiramay at pagpupugay para sa batikang Ginebra staff na si Raphael Vicera o “Mang Jun” na pumanaw bunsod ng komplikasyon sa diabetes kamakalawa ng gabi.
Pinangunahan nina coach Tim Cone at ng veteran player na si Mark Caguioa ang pagbibigay ng tribute sa Ginebra ball boy na noong panahon pa ng Living Legend na si Robert ‘Sonny’ Jaworski nagsimulang magtrabaho sa team.
Sumaludo rin kay Mang Jun ang mga miyembro ng current Ginebra team na sina assistant coach Ri-chard Del Rosario, LA Tenorio, Aljon Mariano at Joe Devance na nagpaabot din ng pakikiramay gayundin sina Rico Maierhofer, Doug Kramer, Dylan Ababou, Allen Maliksi, Jens Knuttel, Nico Salva at iba pa.
“For the people that doesn’t know Mang Jun, he is a legend and one of the most important key members of the team. You have Coach Sonny and this guy Mang Jun. He is always there when you need him,” post sa Instagram ni Caguioa na dinatnan na si Mang Jun pagpasok niya ng Ginebra noong 2001.
“Just heard the news of the passing of Mang Jun. He was really loved by the players and the organization, and he was my connection to the great Ginebra past. We all will miss him dearly,” sabi naman ni Cone na pumasok sa Ginebra noong 2015.
