Naudlot na balik-training may advantage pa rin — Mitra

MANILA, Philippines — Positibo ang tingin ng Games and Amuseents Board (GAB) sa pagkakadiskaril ng pagbabalik sa training at conditioning ng mga professional leagues sa bansa.

Sinabi kahapon ni GAB chairman Abraham ‘Baham’ Mitra sa Philippine Sportswri­ters Association (PSA) Forum webcast edition na magkakaroon sila ng panahong mapaganda pa ang inaprubahang health at safety protocols sa gitna ng kinakaharap na coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Admittedly, there may be some delays but it’s also good kasi we will be given enough time to prepare and sit down with the leagues pati ‘yung 3x3 to come out with the proper safety protocols,” ani Mitra.

Nauna nang inilabas ng GAB, kasama ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at Department of Health (DOH), ang isang Joint Administrative Order (JAO) para sa pagbabalik sa training at conditioning ng mga professional leagues.

Matapos isailalim uli sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) ang Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Bulacan at Rizal hanggang Agosto 18 ay nadiskaril ang pagbabalik-ensayo ng Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), Phi-lippine Football League (PFL) at Chooks-to-Go national 3x3 team.

Bagama’t maaari nilang gawin ito sa mga lugar na wala sa ilalim ng MECQ ay mas minabuti ng PBA na sumunod sa utos ng Malacañang.

Hindi rin natuloy ang pagbabalik sa training at conditioning ng mga PFL clubs sa isang “bubble” sa kanilang PFF National Training Center sa Carmona, Cavite.

“Sa tingin ko mag-i-improve and sa tingin ko makaka-practice na tayo in two weeks time. May slight delay lang,” ani Mitra.
