Romero nairita rin kay Baldwin

MANILA, Philippines — Maraming exciting players ang Philippine Basketball Association kaya hindi na kailangang magkaroon ng dalawa hanggang tatlong imports ang mga koponan.

Ito ang pahayag ni NorthPort owner at Deputy Speaker Mikee Romero (1Pacman Partylist) taliwas sa opinyon ni Gilas Pilipinas program director Tab Baldwin.

“We have so many exciting players so what will happen if we allow two or three imports per team? In the end it will become boring because our locals will not be given the time to shine,” ani Romero.

Sa isang video podcast kamakailan ay sinabi ni Baldwin na isang pagkakamali na isang import lamang ang pinapayagan ng PBA na lumaro sa bawat team.

Gusto ng 62-anyos na head coach ng Ateneo Blue Eagles sa UAAP na magkaroon ng dalawa hanggang tatlong imports ang bawat PBA team.

“As a guest in the country he has no right to question the format, much more the integrity of the league and its officials,” sabi ni Romero.

Ikinagalit din nina NLEX coach Yeng Guiao at Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippines president Louie Gonzalez ang sinasabi ni Baldwin.
