MANILA, Philippines — Itataya ni rising superstar Lito Adiwang ng Team Lakay ang kanyang six-fight winning streak sa pagsagupa kay Pongsiri Mitsatit ng Thailand sa ONE: Fire & Fury.

Nakatakda ang event sa Enero 31 sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.

“I feel confident heading into this match up,” sabi ni Adiwang. “I love Pongsiri’s style. He’s an exciting fighter. It just gives me more motivation and confidence knowing I am up against a good challenge.”

Malakas ang loob ni Adiwang dahil sa pagsabak din ng kanyang mga Team Lakay teammates sa kani-kanilang mga dibisyon.

Idedepensa ni Joshua Pacio ang kanyang ONE Strawweight World Championship laban kay Alex Silva habang makakatapat ni dating two-time ONE Lightweight  titlist Eduard Folayang si Pieter Buist ng The Netherlands sa co-main event.

Makakatapat naman ni ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship Finalist Danny Kingad si Xie Wei ng China at sasagupain ni Gina “Conviction” Iniong, ang gold medalist noong 2019 Southeast Asian Games, si Asha Roka ng India.

Huling lumaban si Adiwang sa harap ng kanyang mga kababayan noong 2013.

“This is my first fight in Manila with ONE Championship, so naturally, I am really excited to fight in front of my countrymen,” ani Adiwang.

Ilan sa mga tinalo ni Adiwang sina Pancrase Flyweight World Champion Senzo Ikeda, Alberto Correia, Jose Manuel Huerta at Anthony Do.

Hindi magkukumpiyansa si Adiwang sa pagharap kay Mitsatit, ang tinaguriang “The Smiling Assassin”.

“Pongsiri is a great striker,” ani Adiwang. “He is good in the clinch and he has powerful knees. I know his Muay Thai will be exceptional, but I think I see weakness in his ground game.
