Matagumpay ang pagdaraos ng PSC sa Children’s Games sa Casiguran
MANILA, Philippines – Higit sa 200 bata mula sa 18 barangay ang nagdiwang ng kapayapaan sa Casiguran, Aurora sa pamamagitan ng sports sa Children’s Game ng Philippine Sports Commission.
“This Sports for Peace program is focused on inspiring children to experience play and sports while teaching them early that no matter your belief, anyone can play with each other. Peace wins,” sabi ni PSC chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.
Nakasabay ng event ang unang anibersaryo ng bagong pangalan ng undersea region na Benham Rise sa Philippine Rise.
Lumahok ang mga batang may edad 8-anyos hanggang 12-anyos sa mga traditional games kagaya ng Karerang Talon, Salok Dagat, Suot Lusot, Karerang Takbo, Mamita Went to Town, Alupihan at Pasahan Tubig.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Casiguran Mayor Ricardo Bitong ang PSC sa pagdaraos ng Children’s Games.
“The first step in producing more sports-centered programs in the town,” ani Bitong.
Plano nina Ramirez at Bitong na gawin ang Indigenous People’s Games sa probinsya sa Oktubre.
“The Philippine Rise is all about peace and through sports, we would like to maintain peace,” ani Ramirez.
