MTRCB at NCAA naghihikayat sa producers

Nagkapirmahan na ang The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA) para sa kanilang partnership sa pagtataguyod at pagpapalago ng mga pelikula para sa buong ekonomiya ng bansa.

Kasama sa napagkasunduan na ang mga pelikula na inendorso ng National Committee on Cinema (NCCinema) ng NCCA ay tatanggap ng 70% discount sa kanilang MTRCB permit. Bukod pa rito, sa pamamagitan ng MOU, ang NCCA ay tutulong upang mapadali ang pag-isyu ng Exits Permits sa lahat ng film festivals na pinondohan ng NCCA at iba pang sinusuportahan ng NCCA na pampublikong screening na applicable for exemption.

Pinangunahan ni MTR­CB Chief, Hon. Maria Rachel J. Arenas and National Artist and Chairperson of NCCA, Mr. Virgilio Almario, ang nasabing alliance ay naglalayong hikayatin pa ang producers na gumawa ng mga pelikulang may kaugnayan sa bayan o national relevance.

In return, MTRCB encouraged the members of the NCCA to hold Compliance Seminars (i.e. Matalinong Panonood Seminar) sa ka­­nilang stakeholders upang higit pang palaganapin ang tamang panonood ng TV particular na sa kabataan.

Ginanap ang MOU signing sa Nida Blanca Conference Room ng MTRCB Building. Present in the signing were Board Members, Atty. Jeremiah Jaro and OIC-Executive Director Atty. Ann Marie Nemenzo. From the NCCA, Commissioner for the Arts and NCCinema Head Teddy Co, Vice head of NCCinema, Mr. Jose Antonio Garcia, Indepen­dent Cinema Sector of NCCinema and film director, Baby Ruth Villarama, Assistant Secretary of NCCinema, Elvert Bañares, Mainstream Sector Archi Adamos, Film and Exhibition & Distribution Sector, Vicente Nebrida, Luzon representative of NCCine­ma, Rosanni Sarile, and Mr. Joel Arthur Tibaldo, IP representative were also in attendance to witness the event.
