Ooperahan daw siya sa Biyernes pero hindi ito rason para hindi na siya sumali sa triathlon o cycling.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out after hearing about my accident yesterday to my family, fans and friends i just want to say thank you and I love you guys! I am overwhelmed with everyone concern. Also I would like to thank all the cyclist and guards at mall of Asia who helped me out yesterday when the accident happened. I want everyone to know I am okay now and I’m scheduled for surgery on Friday. This experience has definitely thought me a few things but it hasn’t discouraged me at all when it comes to cycling and triathlon in fact it has motivated me to comeback even stronger. Tiyak na isa sa malungkot sa nangyari kay Jake ay ang kaibigan niyang si Kim Chiu na naimpluwensiyahan ng aktor na sumali sa duathlon.
