Philippine beach volley teams sasandigan ang homecourt advantage para sa SEAG gold

MANILA, Philippines — Inaasahang gagamitin ng Philippine national beach volley teams ang kanilang homecourt advantage para makamit ang gold medal sa darating na 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Ang national women´s team ay binubuo nina Sisi Rondina, Bernadeth Pons, Dzi Gervacio at Floremel Rodriguez habang ang men’s squad ay kinabibila­ngan nina Edmar Bonono, Jude Garcia, Anthony Arbasto at James Buytrago.

Pinahalagahan ni team manager Cha Soriano ang suporta mula sa Philippine Sports Commission at Rebisco na nagpalakas sa kalooban ng mga players

“With all the support we received, our teams are hoping to get far in this SEA Games,” sabi ni Soriano kahapon sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum sa Amelie Hotel in Manila.

Noong 2005 Manila SEA Games ay humataw ng bronze medal sina Heidi Ilustre at Diane Pascua sa women’s division.

Bukod kay Soriano, bumisita rin sa nasabing sesyon na inihahandog ng San Miguel Corp., Braska Restaurant, Amelie Hotel at PAGCOR sina Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI) training director Peter Cayco, coaches Paul John Doloiras at Jason Gabales at physical therapists Faye Acordon at Carl Dimaculangan.

Bilang host ay binigyan ng karapatan ang Pilipinas na maglahok ng dalawang pares sa men’s at women’s division.

Lalaruin ang beach volleyball, naglalatag ng dalawang gold medals, sa Nobyembre 29 hanggang Disyembre 6 sa Subic.
