MANILA, Philippines – Muling masisilayan ng mga Pilipino ang umaatikabong aksiyon sa UFC tampok ang mahuhusay na mixed martial artists dahil bababalik sa bansa ang Ultimate Fighting Championship sa susunod na taon.
Ito ang inihayag ni UFC executive vice president Kenneth Berger ngunit wala pang eksaktong petsa kung kailan ito magaganap.
Noong Mayo ay itinanghal ang kauna-unahang UFC event sa bansa sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
“We’re coming back in 2016. We’re still working dates, lots of logistical issues and availability of venues in the Philippines but we’re looking forward to announcing it the first quarter of the coming year,” wika ni Berger.
Nagkasundo ang UFC, Cignal at TV5 upang maging makakaakibat sa pagtataguyod ng naturang event.
Ipalalabas sa Cignal ang mga laban sa UFC sa Hyper Channel 53.
“It is a historic moment for us that will be able to bring UFC to Filipino mixed martial arts fans,” pahayag naman ni Sports 5 vice president Vito Lazatin.
Una nang nakalinya ang UFC 195 na tatampukan ng duwelo nina Fil-Am Robert “Ruthless” Lawler at Carlos “Natural Born Killer” Condit para sa welterweight title.
