Duterte sa PMA grads
MANILA, Philippines — Maglingkod sa bayan at ialay ang buhay kung kailangan.
Ito ang hiniling kahapon ni Pangulong Duterte sa Philippine Military Academy Mabalasik Class of 2019 sa kanyang pagdalo sa PMA graduation rites kung saan siya ang guest of honor at speaker.
“Serve your country well. Die for your country if needs be,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa 261 cadets na nagtapos kahapon.
“Remember the young Filipinos yet to come, the children who are now studying. Huwag mong kalimutan ‘yan. And if you think the country is not run the way it is, and if it will destroy your country, you should know what to do,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Sinabi pa ng Pangulo sa mga graduates na maging humble at palaging rumespeto sa kanilang mga seniors, professors at enlisted personnel lalo sa sibilyan.
“I ask you to always remain faithful to your mission. Be a good soldier who will serve the Constitution, protect the people, secure our sovereignty and preserve the integrity of our national territory,” sabi pa ng Pangulo.
Ang top 1 ng klase na tumanggap ng presidential saber mula sa Pangulo ay si Cadet 1st Class Dionne Mea Apolog Umalla mula sa Ilocos Sur habang 4 pang babaeng kadete ang kabilang sa top 10 ng nagtapos kahapon sa PMA.
