MANILA, Philippines — Habang dumadalo sa ikalawang "Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation," ipapaubaya muna ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagpapatakbo sa ehekutubo.
Mula ika-24 hanggang ika-28 ng Abril, si Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea muna ang mamamalakad sa pang-araw-araw na operasyon ng Office of the President bilang officer-in-charge.
"If necessary, [he could] act for and on behalf of the President, except on matters that the President is required, by the Constitution to act in person," sabi ng dokumentong inilabas ng Palasyo. Nilagdaan ang papel nitong ika-17 ng Abril.

Aniya, dapat tulungan si Medialdea ng lahat ng departamento, ahensya at instrumentalidad ng gobyerno para maisakatuparan ang kanyang tungkulin.
"All acts of the Executive Secretary for and on behalf of the President pursuant to this Order shall be deemed acts of the President unless disapproved or reprobated by the President," dagdag ng kasulatan.
Nasa ilalim ng OP ang mga gabinete, departamento at lokal na gobyerno.
Kasama na riyan ang mahahalagang bahagi ng gobyerno gaya ng Department of National Defense at Department of the Interior and Local Government na nangangasiwa sa Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police.
Habang nasa Tsina, isa raw sa babanggitin ni Duterte kay Chinese President Xi Jinping ang pinag-aagawang teritoryo ng dalawang bansa sa West Philippine Sea.
