Bengzon bagong spokesperson ng DOT

MANILA, Philippines — Itinalaga ni Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat si undersecretary for tourism development Benito Bengzon Jr. bilang bagong tagapagsalita ng kagawaran.

“In the interest of the service Benito C. Bengzon Jr. Undersecretary for Tourism Development Planning, is hereby designated as Spokesperson of the Department of Tourism,” nakasaad sa department order.

Nitong Huwebes pa inihayag ni Puyat na nais niyang maging tagapagsalita si Bengzon ngunit hindi pa ito nakumpirma dahil sa pag-aalinlangan ng undersecretary.

Napili ng kalihim si Bengzon dahil sa tagal nito sa serbisyo na 30 taon.

“The reason why I chose him is because of his experience, nothing else. Nothing like I don’t like the previous spokesman but I just feel that the spokesperson should have had experience,” wika ni Puyat.

Hindi na bago kay Bengzon ang pagiging tagapagsalita dahil nagampanan na niya ito sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni datong DOT secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr.

Papalitan ni Bengzon si Assistant Secretary Frederick Alegre.
