Binay: Truth Commission members 'wag si Noy ang mamili

MANILA, Philippines – Pabor si Bise Presidente Jejomar Binay sa pagbuo ng Truth Commission na mag-iimbestiga sa Mamasapano clash, ngunit tutol na si Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ang mamimili ng mga miyembro nito.

Sinabi ng Bise Presidente na maaaring magkaroon ng duda sa bubuuing Truth Commission kung si Aquino ang magtatalaga ng mga tauhan nito.

"Having the members appointed by the president as proposed by several administration senators will certainly cast doubts on their impartiality," pahayag ni Binay ngayong Martes.

Dagdag niya na dapat maging independent ang fact-finding body na mag-iimbestiga sa pagkasawi ng 44 miyembri ng Philippine National Police Special Action Force sa Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

"I further propose that the Catholic Church and other religious groups become part of this independent fact-finding commission, which should include former chief justices of the Supreme Court, and other eminent personalities who are not identified with the administration or any political organization."

Si Sen. Teofisto Guingona III ang nagmungkahi na bumuo ng Truth Commission kung saan si Aquio ang magtatalaga ng mga miyembro.

Tiniyak naman ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda kahapon na magiging tapat ang imbestigasyon sa Mamasapano clash.
