DOH nagbabala vs. fake contact tracers

MANILA, Philippines — “We have received reports of citizens getting calls from certain individuals misrepresenting themselves as members of the DOH Contact Tracing Team. They maliciously ask for personal information and extort money in the process.”

Ito ang natanggap  ng Department of Health (DOH) sa mga publiko sa mga nagpapanggap na contact tracers ng gobyerno kaya’t nagbabala ito.

Giit ng DOH, maaari itong i-report sa kanilang Call Center Hotline via telephone number (632) 8651-7800 local 5003-5004 o mag-send ng email sa [email protected] na rin aniya sila sa Philippine National Police at National Bureau of Investigation para imbestigahan ito.

Samantala, inatasan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte si Interior Secretary Eduardo Año na magtalaga ng mga pulis na maghahatid sa mga contact tracers sa mga bahay ng nakahalubilo ng COVID-19 patients.

“Magpahatid ng kung anong sasakyan diyan sa pulis, doon sila sumakay, ihatid sila ng pulis doon sa boundary. Beyond that, ibang pulis na naman ang magsasalo sa kanila para hanapin ‘yung tao,” utos ni Pangulong Duterte. — Malou Escudero
