DILG: 112 area sa buong bansa naka-localized lockdown
MANILA, Philippines — May kabuuang 112 lugar sa bansa ang nasa localized lockdown sa gitna ng coronavirus disease o COVID-19 pandemic.
“Localized lockdown is like hitting COVID-19 at its source which has been proven to be effective especially in the 112 areas where it is currently being implemented.
It really works since the hot zones areas are secluded from the rest of the community, hence, stopping the transmission to other communities,” ani Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.
Ang pagpapatupad aniya ng localized lockdown ay isa sa best approach sa paglaban sa COVID-19.
Sinabi naman ni DILG spokesman Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, sa 112 areas, 67 ang mula sa Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR); 18 sa National Capital Region, 19 sa Cebu City; at tag-iisa sa Cavite, Quezon Province, Leyte; habang lima sa Cagayan de Oro City.
Pinaalalahanan naman niya ang publiko sa mga LGUs na magpapatupad ng localized lockdown ay dapat magkaroon ng quick response teams na magdadala ng test-trace-treat strategy laban sa sakit.
“Mahirap din naman ‘yun basta-basta lang tayo magdeclare ng localized lockdown with no system in place,” saad ni Malaya.
