Color issue

POINT GUARD - Nelson Beltran - Pang-masa

African-Americans o black people, parehong nagpapatunay sina Norman Black at Sean Chambers na patuloy na umiiral ang color issue sa US.

Ipinahiwatig nila na pareho nila itong kinalakihan.

“If you’re not living through that, you have no idea what they’re going through,” ani Black sa mga malungkot na nararanasan ng mga itim.

“I think they were trying to get a message across. They have a voice, they want that voice heard,” ani Black ukol sa naganap na NBA boycott.

“By them playing, it constantly gets the message across to the world,” ani Chambers sa kanilang diskusyunan sa topic na ito sa nakaraang Sports Page show sa TV5.

“You’re not being judged by the color of your skin in the Philippines. But in the United States, those who have power and those who have control have always been white people. Black people are just trying to survive,” ani Chambers. “I feel 100 percent safer in the Phi-lippines than I do in certain parts of the United States of America.”
