Sports Hall of Fame magpupulong ngayon
MANILA, Philippines — Gagawin ng Philippine Sports Hall of Fame, ang premier award-giving body for sports sa bansa, ang kanilang initial meeting ngayon sa Philsports Complex sa Pasig City.
Tatalakyin ng Philippine Sports Hall of Fame 2020 Committee sa pangunguna nina PSC chairman William Ramirez at vice-chairman at Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino ang gagamiting kriterya sa nominasyon at pagpili ng mga kandidato.
“We want to get a good lead time since the selection process is an arduous exercise. We have a lot of athletes truly deserving to be enshrined in this Hall of Fame,“ paliwanag ni Ramirez.
Dadalo rin sa nasabing pulong ng komite ang mga miyembro ng screening body na binubuo nina Games and Amusement Board chairman Abraham Mitra, POC secretary-general Atty. Edwin Gastanes, Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines Secretary-General Atty. Avelino Sumagui, University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Executive Director Atty. Rene Saguisag Jr. at SEA Games gold medallist at Philippine Olympians Association head Akiko Thomson Guevara.
