MANILA, Philippines — Babanderahan ni Daniel Ven Cariño ang kampanya ng Go for Gold sa paghataw ng LBC Ronda Pilipinas 10th anniversary race sa Pebrero 23 sa Sorsogon at magtatapos sa Marso 4 sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

Makakatuwang ni Cariño si team captain Ronnel Hualda sa pagpadyak ng Go for Gold team kasama sina Jonel Carcueva, Isamel Grospe, Jr., Jericho Jay Lucero, Marc Ryan Lago, Ronnilan Quita at Rex Luis Krog.

“The guys have improved since we first took them and while our target is modest this year, I will not be surprised if we will give the favored teams serious challenge,” wika ni Go for Gold coach and manager Eds Hualda.

Idinagdag ni Hualda na patuloy silang naghahanap ng mga batang talento na maaaring maging miyembro ng national team.

“That has been the goal by Go for Gold since the team was first formed. And we will never stop until we find and make them champions,” ani Hualda.

Sina Cariño, Carcueva at Grospe, mga top 10 finishers sa nakaraang mga karera, ang magdadala sa laban ng Go for Gold sa nasabing decade-old race na may prem-yong P1 milyon para sa magkakampeon.

Makakasukatan ng Go for Gold ang Standard Insurance (Navy) squad nina dating titlists Jan Paul Morales at Ronald Oranza at sa tatlo pang dating Ronda winners na sina Santy Barnachea ng Scratch it, Mark Galedo ng 7Eleven Cliqq-Air21 by Roadbike Phil at Reimon Lapaza ng Celeste Cycles-Devel Project Pro Team.

Ang iba pang tropang papadyak sa 10-stage race na inihahandog ng LBC at suportado ng Manny V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation ay ang Bicycology (Army), Bike Xtreme, Tarlac/Central Luzon, Ilocos Sur, South Luzon/Batangas at Nueva Ecija.

Matapos ang 137-kilometer Stage One ay pakakawalan ang 163km Sorsogon Legazpi Stage Two sa Pebrero 24 kasunod ang 126.9km Legazpi-Naga Stage Three sa Pebrero 25, 212.5km Daet-Lucena Stage Four sa Pebrero 26 at 155.4km Lucena-Antipolo Stage Five sa Pebrero 27.

Itutuloy ng Ronda ang 128.9km Lingayen-Lingayen Stage Six sa Pebrero 29, ang 171.9km Lingayen-Nueva Ecija Stage Seven sa Marso 1, ang 177.1km Nueva Ecija-Baguio Stage Eight sa Marso 2 at ang 176.4km Pugo, La Union-Vigan Stage Nine. Isasara ang Stage 10 criterium sa Vigan sa Marso 4.
