Gibbons umaasa pa rin kay Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines — Naniniwala si MP Promotions chief Sean Gibbons na hindi pa tuluyang iiwan ni People’s Champion Manny Pacquiao ang professional boxing.

Inihayag ni Pacquiao sa isang interview na tapos na ang boxing career nito. “Boxing career ko, tapos na,” aniya.

Nakatakdang isentro ng Pinoy champion ang atensiyon nito sa pulitika lalo pa’t nagdeklara na itong tatakbo bilang pangulo sa 2022 National Election.

Ngunit para kay Gibbons, hindi pa ito opisyal dahil inaasahang magkakaroon pa ng “farewell fight” si Pacquiao bago tuluyang magretiro sa boxing.

“In the coming weeks, the senator will decide how he’s going to finish his professional boxing career. After the fight and recently, he’s discussed retiring or maybe one more fight. He’s just talking out loud about different situations,” ani Gibbons sa panayam ng ESPN.

Iginiit ni Gibbons na magiging opisyal lamang ang deklarasyon ni Pacquiao kung naka-post na ito sa kanyang social media accounts. “Until you see it officially come out on his Twitter or Instagram, he isn’t retired. Once you see it on a platform like that, it’s official. Anything else is just talk about what his thoughts are in the moment,” ani Gibbons.
