First Lady suportado ang hosting ng FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship
MANILA, Philippines — Solidong suporta ang ibinigay ni First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos para sa solo hosting ng Pilipinas sa FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 sa Setyembre.
“The First Lady readily gave her full support to the country’s solo hosting of the world championship,” ani Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara matapos ang organizational meeting sa opisina ng First Lady sa PMS Building sa Malacañang noong Martes.
“She’s so enthusiastic about the event and showed everyone in the room her love for sports,” dagdag nito.
Nakatakda ang 32-nation world championship sa Setyembre 12 hanggang 28 ng 2025 sa Smart Araneta Coliseum at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Sa pagpapakita ng suporta ng Malacañang ay ipinasama ng First Lady si Presidential son William Vincent Araneta Marcos sa pulong na bumuo sa Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
Nasa pulong din sina Senator Alan Peter Cayetano at Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco para ipaliwanag ang hosting ng bansa sa world championship na pamamahalaan ng isang Asian country matapos ang Japan noong 1998 at 2006.
“For the first time in several years, we’ll host the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Philippines 2025,” wika ni Cayetano na chairman emeritus ng PNVF.
Sinabi ng Senador na isang pagkakataon ulit ito para makapagpasikat ang Pinas sa global stage matapos ang pangangasiwa sa 2019 Southeast Asian Games at 2023 FIBA Championship.
