Lanete gikuha sa 3x3 team isip playing assistant coach
CEBU, Philippines — Gikuha si three-time PBA champion Chico Lanete sa Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 isip playing assistant coach sa mga pro teams niini.
Pormal nga gipirmahan ni Lanete ang iyang kontrata niadtong Biyernes.
“Having Chico around will be of great help to our players as 3x3 is a game of court awareness,” matud pa sa tag-iya sa Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 league nga si Ronald Mascariñas s segun sa taho sa The Philippine STAR.
“Being an undrafted player but playing 12 years in the PBA should serve as an inspiration to our players. Chico has proved that hard work trumps all,” dugang pa ni Mascariñas.
Ang 40-anyos nga si Lanete makigtrabaho ni coach Eric Altamirano uban sa tulo ka pro teams sa liga nga mokumbati sa FIBA 3x3 circuit.
Tabangan sab niya ang national team sa preparasyon niini alang sa 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament nga gikatakda sa Mayo 2021 didto sa Austria.
“I’ve been wanting to be a coach. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Chooks-to-Go for this opportunity to help new generation of players and to share something in this new sport,” sumala pa ni Lanete.
