Share your extras at SM

The children’s smiles are priceless as they receive shoes and clothes from SM Foundation executive director Connie Angeles.

MANILA, Philippines - The SM Store makes spring cleaning more rewarding than ever by inviting shoppers to clean out their closets and to share their extras with the less fortunate in a store-based campaign.

A donation entitles donors to a P50 coupon, which may be redeemed when they make a minimum P500 single receipt purchase of regular priced ladies’, men’s and children’s apparel at The SM Store until March 31, 2016.

Recently, the project was off to a great start at SM Marikina where the first beneficiaries from nearby barangays covered by the government’s 4Ps Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program received donations.

SM Store president Cielo Monasterio, SVP- operations Joey Singian, SM Foundation Inc. executive director Connie Angeles together with Social Welfare Officer IV Karen Bullecer took part in the turnover, happily handing shoes, clothes, and undergarments from the SM store to the delighted kids.

The campaign is a partnership of The SM Store with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and SM Foundation.

More communities from DSWD-accredited beneficiaries nationwide are set to receive clothes and slippers from the Share Your Extras campaign.

Booths have been set up at all SM stores where shoppers can donate their extra clothes or new pair of slippers until March 31, 2015.
