Cop cited for innovation and commitment to transformation

MANILA, Philippines - Police Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong (left) receives a plaque of commendation from Rex Drilon II, chairman of the National Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development, as Director Marcelo Garbo Jr., chief of the Directorial Staff; Chief Superintendent Ferdinand Sevilla, director of the Center for Police Strategic Management (CPSM); and Senior Superintendent Noel Barraceros look on. Magalong was cited for his role in the formulation of the PNP PATROL Plan 2030, the PNP’s roadmap for real and lasting transformation towards the vision of becoming a highly capable, effective and credible police force. He was also cited for his pioneering efforts in harnessing modern technology to effectively prevent and fight crime when he was regional director of the Police Regional Office in Cordillera, efforts which have been recommended for replication in all police regional offices.
