Habitat builds homes with Bob the Builder

MANILA, Philippines - Habitat for Humanity Philippines with well-loved character Bob the Builder held house building workshops last June 27 at the SM Mall of Asia to show children the value of teamwork and responsibility. Parents and their children aged 13 and above were given the chance to build a real Habitat house while younger kids painted the walls of the house and decorated miniature concrete interlocking blocks, which they proudly took home as souvenirs.

The activity, hosted by Habitat Youth Ambassador Alexandra Eduque along with Habitat’s technical team, showed that anyone, regardless of age or social stature, can contribute to nation building and helping the needy.

Friends of Habitat such as Bosch, Boysen Paints, Eterton, Screw Kingdom and Bright Moon also contributed to make the workshop a success.

Over the years, Habitat for Humanity has helped rebuild the lives of over 24,000 families and built over 200 school classrooms nationwide.
