With people nowadays leading busy lives, Watsons launched its “Time to Renew” campaign that aims to lead people in restoring their beauty and recharging their health.

Watsons group marketing manager Karen Fabres said, “Getting back to the healthy, proactive lifestyle doesn’t have one fixed formula so we want to help you start with the essentials to get you back on that track. Just remember these three things: restore your beauty, recharge your health and revitalize your hair!”

During the launch, guests tried several fun stations where they could learn about products that will help them renew their over-all well-being and enjoy a bit of pampering from the participating brands. The campaign focuses on three categories: “Restore your Beauty” for proper skin care (made easy with products like Pond’s, Olay, L’Oreal, Belo, Celeteque, Neutrogena, Snow, St. Ives, Suave, Bellic, Glutamax, Shulammite soap, Cosmo Skin and Nivea Men crème); “Revitalize your Hair” to bring life back to dull tresses with hair-loving products like Tresemmé, L’Oréal, Dove and Moringa; and “Recharge your Health” for a more energized and healthier body with Watsons’ healthy solutions such as Cosmo Cee, Poten-Cee, Met Tathione, IVI Collagen, Myra E, Stresstabs, Belo Glutathione, Snow Caps and Kilo Off.

Some of the participating brands also brought in their celebrity ambassadors like Iza Calzado for Pond’s, John James Uy for Nivea Men, Alice Dixson for Kilo Off and Ruffa Gutierrez for Cosmo Skin.

SM Advantage Card, BDO Rewards or PriMo Card holders get a chance to win revitalizing packages. Celebrating partnerships

AXA Group CEO Thomas Buberl received a warm Filipino welcome from AXA Philippines and its joint venture partner, Metrobank Group, during his recent two-day visit to Manila. Buberl was joined by AXA Asia interim CEO Doina Palici-Chehab to reinforce the company’s global strategy in Asia and the Philippines.

AXA Philippines CEO Raul Hora said this visit signified the important role of the Philippine market in the company’s  global growth strategies. “The presence of Mr. Buberl here in the country is a testament to AXA’s optimism and steadfast commitment not only to the Philippines, but also to the Asian region.”

Buberl underscored the importance of adapting to rapidly evolving customer needs as part of Ambition 2020, the global five-year strategic plan. “How do we get closer to our customers? How can we serve them better? It’s all about transformation — to becoming a real partner for our customers and to empowering them to live a better life.”

Meanwhile, Palici-Chehab highlighted AXA’s illustrious history in Asia. “Our strength in Asia lies in One AXA. As a composite insurer offering general insurance, life insurance and healthcare, we are ideally positioned to seize the opportunities arising from Asia’s demographic and economic shifts.”

To mark Buberl and Palici-Chehab’s first visit to the country, Metrobank Group chairman George Ty hosted a reception dinner attended by top executives of the GT Group companies. Buberl also met with Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa, select business partners and the AXA Philippines leadership team. Buberl’s visit highlighted the focus of the AXA Group on Asia and the Philippines, and signals only better things to come for AXA Philippines.

Bridging innovation & business solutions through digital transformation

Once again, companies under the First Pacific and Metro Pacific Group converged in a two-day conference to harness the creative power of innovation and digital transformation by bridging business strategies and technology. Held recently at the First Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA) in Antipolo City, the companies “drafted together digital transformation strategies critical to today’s business, evaluated business adjacencies and bridged the gap in-between through digitalization.”

The conference was opened by FPLA general manager and executive director Roy Agustin Evalle, who, through an inspiring message, shared how we could all participate in addressing today’s greatest challenges by making a mark and making our contributions matter. “We need to impart to our people the mindset, vision and passion, supported by vigor. What is our endgame? Let us create the visions, let’s create them together,” he said.

Updates from the past February Congress, along with the group’s Digital Transformation Journey roadmap, were also shared by Nino Cabredo, head of innovation and digital programs.

The conference was facilitated by Prof. Ravi Aron, associate professor and research faculty at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. He also facilitated the Global Strategic Leadership Program conducted last February, in partnership with FPLA and the Wharton School-Aresty University of Pennsylvania. His expertise in strategy and technology, as well as extensive know-how on “Digital Disruption” and the role of “Big Data and Analytics” in shaping corporate strategy, made the discussion and activities in the conference insightful and productive.

Innovation programs and initiatives were also recognized during the second day of the program with Meralco, Maynilad Water and Voyager Innovations named as recipients of the Culture of Innovation Award for 2017. This recognition is given to organizations that continually carry out their innovation journeys and empower their employees to embrace new ideas and pursue new ventures. This award is also given to companies that institutionalize innovation not only as a strategy but as a way of life.

The conference ended with an engaging talk by Winifredo Camacho, the Filipino luxury car designer based in Sindelfingen, Germany, as part of the teaser on the Executive Talks: Masters of Designs. *
