The Friends for the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) recently held its first fellowship for 2010 at the picturesque beach house of Jun and Nene Leonor in Batangas. FCCP president Beth Cristobal, fellowship director Karen Macasaet and chairman Baby de Jesus led the event that was well-attended by FCCP members and friends Chloe Periquet, Zeny Cabral, Annabelle Adriano, Nenuca Blardony, Ditas Araneta and Gilda Salonga.

More power to FCCP! Cheers!

Lucky at 70

Respected psychic, researcher, columnist, radio anchor, best-selling author, international speaker and loving husband Jimmy Licauco recently celebrated his 70th birthday at Café Ysabel in San Juan. Jimmy’s closest friends and loving wife Yoly, with children Sophia, Jaime Raphael and Jolan Alexander, all gathered for the delightful celebration that was highlighted by special tributes to the celebrator from Art Macapagal, psychic researcher Tonypet Araneta, Ramon Tulfo, Cory Quirino and Celine Perpinan. Fond memories of Jimmy, a magical show from Rannie Raymundo and a slideshow of Jimmy’s photos all made the gathering extra special.

Happy birthday, Jimmy!

A friendship to last

The fun-loving and philanthropic Friends for the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) immediate past president Minerva Tanseco recently enjoyed a series of fun events that drew her and her friends closer. First, Minerva enjoyed the 89th Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) Annual Tea at the Manila Polo Club with the theme Kultura at Kalikasan Natin led by the Annual Ball chairman Letty Hahn. Esther Vibal was also recognized in the occasion for her exemplary contributions to CWC. For a breath of fresh air, Minerva and her adventurous friends went up north to the beautiful Tuguegarao for a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Piat. After 20 hours of road travel, the group felt joy and satisfaction as they poured their hearts out to Our Lady. After the fulfilling pilgrimage, Minerva then trooped down south to Bacolod City for an intimate time with old friends. Nothing but love, fun and pure friendship were celebrated by the group during their stay at Sonia Recto Lopez’s house. Truly, Minerva knows how to have a memorable time whenever and wherever she and her friends may be! Cheers!
