Show me off!

The invite came with a bow and it said: “Show me off!” The invitation was for the opening of Sanrio Luxe in Manila and everybody knew it would be a great event because it was Gift Gate’s Virgie Ramos throwing the party.

Guests came to the affair showing off their bows in gold, silver, blue, red and other colors. After all, the moment called for a celebration because it was Hello Kitty’s 35th birthday and it was held at the launch of the pop-up Sanrio Luxe Concept store at Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.

Maybe it was nostalgia, or just a passion for cool, quirky fashion. But the guests were delighted to discover a Sanrio Shop “not for kids.” The fashionistas couldn’t get enough of Hello Kitty. Ed Calma, who designed the store, said, “Sanrio Luxe is about combining sophistication and playfulness.” The awesome items on perforated display wall would surely be in every lady’s Christmas wish list — bags, wallets, tiaras and accessories.

It was a fun party as everyone got excited seeing Hello Kitty x Asics sneakers, Hello Kitty x Tokidoki bejeweled keychains or the latest Hello Kitty x Crystal Ball bags. Imagine Hello Kitty in Anteprima, Victoria Couture, Tarina Tarantino and Atmos glam. It was all smiles as the goodies brought back happy memories.

Hello Kitty premium items were raffled off and all eyes were on those fabulous Hello Kitty dolls made of leather!
